Documentation

Everything you need to run multilingual meetings.

Sageio is an AI meeting-translation bot that joins your Google Meet calls and delivers real-time translated captions, searchable transcripts, and AI summaries. Here is how it works, end to end.

Part 01 — Setup

Three steps from invite to summary

There is no software to install and no bot account to create. You invite Sageio to a meeting the same way you invite any other guest, run the meeting normally, and everything else is automatic.

1. Invite the bot
Add bot@sageio.net to your Google Meet calendar invite. It joins automatically the moment the meeting starts — no one has to admit it manually.
2. Speak naturally
Each participant sees live captions translated into the language they choose. Translated captions appear in roughly 2 seconds, so the conversation keeps its rhythm.
3. Get the summary
When the meeting ends, an AI summary and a searchable transcript are delivered within about 5 minutes. The host controls who the summary is shared with.

Part 02 — Platforms

Where Sageio works today

Sageio runs on Google Meet today. Support for Zoom and Microsoft Teams is on the roadmap — those integrations are not live yet, so plan around Google Meet for now.

Part 03 — Languages

Real-time captions in 20+ languages

Sageio translates speech into 20+ languages in real time. Every participant independently picks the language their own captions appear in — no one has to agree on a shared meeting language.

The number of simultaneous caption languages in a single meeting depends on your plan:

Professional
Up to 3 caption languages per meeting
Teams
Up to 7 caption languages per meeting
Enterprise
unlimited caption languages per meeting

Part 04 — After the call

Searchable transcripts and AI summaries

Every meeting produces a full transcript you can search across all of your calls, plus an AI-generated summary delivered within about 5 minutes of the meeting ending.

Summaries are host-controlled: the meeting host decides who the summary and transcript are shared with, so nothing leaves the room without an explicit choice.

Part 05 — Trust

Your meetings are not used to train AI

Sageio does not use your meeting content to train AI models, and its sub-processors are contractually held to the same standard. Meeting data is processed to deliver translation, transcripts, and summaries — nothing more.

Data can be hosted in your choice of region: US, EU, APAC.

Part 06 — Self-hosting

Run Sageio in your own environment

For organizations that need to keep everything inside their own perimeter, self-hosting is available on the Enterprise plan. You run Sageio in your own infrastructure while keeping the same translation, transcript, and summary capabilities.

Part 07 — Plans

Trial, plans, and pricing

New accounts start with a 60-minute free trial — no card required to try it. After that, Professional is $49 per month and Teams is $99 per seat per month. Enterprise (including self-hosting) is custom.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does the bot join my meeting?
Add bot@sageio.net to your Google Meet calendar invite, the same way you would add any colleague. The bot joins automatically when the meeting starts — no browser extensions, no desktop apps, no IT setup. Zoom and Microsoft Teams support is on the roadmap.
Where is my meeting data stored?
By default, encrypted on AWS in your chosen region (US, EU, APAC). Audio is processed in memory and discarded — only text transcripts and summaries are persisted. Enterprise customers can self-host the entire stack, in which case your data never leaves your servers.
Which languages are supported?
Live captions translate into 20+ languages, and each meeting can run several caption languages side by side (limits depend on your plan). Asian languages get the same first-class treatment as European ones — most tools treat them as an afterthought.
Do I need to install anything?
Nothing — no app, no extension, no plugin. Sign up on the website, invite the bot to your calendar, and run your meetings as usual. Setup takes about 30 seconds, not 30 minutes.
How is Sageio different from Otter or Fireflies?
Otter and Fireflies are excellent at English transcription. Sageio is built for teams whose meetings are not all in English — real-time translated captions in 20+ languages, with Asian languages treated as first-class rather than an afterthought.
Can we self-host Sageio?
Yes, on the Enterprise tier. You get a Helm chart, a deployment SOP, and a customer success engineer for the rollout. Customers self-host for data sovereignty (GDPR and regional regulations), security policies that disallow third-party processors, or simply to keep full ownership of their data.
Is my meeting data used to train AI models?
No. Your meeting content is yours: Sageio processes it to deliver translation and does not train models on it, and its AI vendors are contractually restricted from doing so. Audio is processed in memory and discarded; transcripts and summaries are encrypted in transit and at rest.
Does Sageio support Zoom or Microsoft Teams?
Today Sageio joins Google Meet. Zoom and Microsoft Teams support is coming soon. If those platforms are critical for your rollout, tell us on the contact form and we will share timing — it helps us prioritise.
How much does Sageio cost?
Professional is $49/month; Teams is $99 per user/month (2 or more seats). Enterprise is custom-priced. Every plan starts with a free 60-minute trial — no credit card required. Monthly plans cancel anytime; annual billing saves 20%.
