Real-time Hindi meeting translation

To translate a Hindi meeting in real time, add Sageio to your Google Meet call: it listens to the conversation and gives every participant live captions in their own language — Hindi speakers read Hindi, English speakers read English, in about two seconds. It is built for how Indian teams actually talk, including Hinglish sentences that switch between Hindi and English mid-thought. No interpreter scheduling, no one forced onto their second language.

मुझे लगता है कि हमें लॉन्च अगले हफ़्ते तक टालना चाहिए, जब तक टेस्टिंग पूरी नहीं हो जाती।
I think we should push the launch to next week, until testing is complete.

That makes sense — can your team share the updated test report by Friday?
ठीक है — क्या आपकी टीम शुक्रवार तक अपडेटेड टेस्ट रिपोर्ट शेयर कर सकती है?

हाँ, hum रिपोर्ट Thursday शाम तक अपलोड कर देंगे, but pehle security team का approval chahiye।
Yes, we'll upload the report by Thursday evening, but we need the security team's approval first.

Why Hindi breaks live translation tools

Hinglish is the language, not noise
A typical sentence — "Hum is feature ko next sprint mein ship kar denge, but pehle approval chahiye" — switches between Hindi and English several times, and both halves carry meaning. Tools that detect one language per utterance translate only the half they guessed, leaving every reader a transcript with holes. Sageio renders a complete version of the whole thought in each target language, regardless of which words were spoken in which.
Hindi and Urdu sound nearly identical out loud
Spoken everyday Hindi and Urdu share words and grammar — the difference is the script, and a meeting is audio, not text. A recognizer can label the same sentence either way and produce a different transcript and language tag. A wrong guess doesn't ruin the live captions, but it does corrupt the searchable record.
Aap, tum and tu carry real information
Hindi marks formality in the pronoun and verb — aap (respectful), tum (familiar), tu (intimate) — and the choice signals hierarchy that is very present in Indian workplaces. A translation that flattens everyone to a generic "you" loses information a reader uses to understand who is deferring to whom. The record should also keep Hindi in Devanagari, not romanized "chat Hindi" that reads informal and searches poorly.

Questions

Can AI translate a Hindi–English meeting in real time?
Yes. Sageio joins your Google Meet call as a bot and streams translated captions to each participant in their chosen language, typically within about two seconds. Hindi is a first-class language — including the Hinglish code-switching that is the normal register of corporate India, not clean textbook Hindi alone.
What happens when someone speaks Hinglish — Hindi and English in one sentence?
That is the case Sageio is built for. Instead of detecting one language per line and translating half the sentence, it treats the mixed sentence as one thought and renders a complete version in each target language: the English reader gets the whole idea in clean English, the Hindi reader gets it in clean Hindi — from the same speech, at the same time.
Will the transcript be in Devanagari or romanized Hindi?
Devanagari. Romanized "chat Hindi" is harder to search and reads as informal in a way the meeting may not have been. Keeping Hindi in its own script makes the record searchable and matches the register of the conversation — which also matters because spoken Hindi and Urdu are near-identical, so the written record is where the language label has to be right.
What does it cost to translate Hindi meetings with Sageio?
Every account starts with a free 60-minute trial. Paid plans are Professional at $49/month and Teams at $99 per seat/month, both with real-time translated captions in 20+ languages, transcripts and AI summaries. Sageio works on Google Meet today; Zoom and Microsoft Teams are coming soon.
